This project was the transformation of an empty derelict building into modern retirement living and a flagship local authority development for the city.
The refurbishment would see a total of 26 new units providing independent living for elderly people in the local community of Normanton.
The name ‘Rose Homes’ was chosen as part of a competition at the local school organised by Derby Homes, Derby City Council and Redesign
Redesign have provided a clear and innovative vision for the transformation of a difficult site. Their approach was simply to be on hand to help us deliver that initial vision. That has ranged from providing detailed drawings, offering advice on specifications through to talking over the details with the site supervisor.
